- Was founded in 2008 on the 5th anniversary of the Iraq War.
- Co-founders: Matt Sullivan, Fred and Cathe Norman, Steve and Kathy Dowding.
- Purpose: To reflect on the human and monetary costs of the war, honor our veterans who have died, and visualize ways of moving beyond this conflict to a more peaceful world.
- Open to all residents of the Tri-Valley area and beyond.
- Monthly Peace Vigils are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Our Vigils will continue until the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are ended. Please see the Schedule of Events page for the location and dates of upcoming Vigils.
- Monthly Peaceful War Protests are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month. Please see the Schedule of Events page for location and dates of upcoming Protests.
- We are also actively working to engage our local Congressmen/women in dialog regarding funding for and ending the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
